Good Shadowrun news!

Thu Nov 5, 2009, 7:37 AM
Catalyst Game Labs line developer Jason Hardy on Shadowrun4.com:

The pipeline: A great year for Shadowrun

I’m sharing this so all of you out there know what I’m trying to do. This is my goal; it does not take into account the various obstacles and problems that real life is so good at throwing out. But we’re off to a good start!

I have a small piece of paper on my desk. At the top of it, it says “Oct: Running Wild.” Then it says “Nov: Seattle 2072.” It continues in that vein, month after month, to next October. There is an entry–the name of a product–for every line.

That’s not to say it will work out that way, but what I want to point out is that when I came into this job I inherited an incredible pipeline of material. I’ll keep this paper next to me as a reminder of what I need to do and keep working to make as much of this happen as possible. If this works (and again, I can’t promise it will), this will be a great year for Shadowrun. You’re going to see some gorgeous, cool products, and I hope you’ll have lots of opportunities to use these things to enhance your gameplay experience.

Now I’ve gotta go back to work on making this list actually happen.

P.S. Did I mention that my list excludes the new fiction that is getting ever closer to coming out?

Running Wild - Rating 4.75 out of 5

Sun Oct 4, 2009, 1:28 PM
"The artwork is excellent, and it's chock full of material, not just the animals and the critters, but rules for raising "pets," and cybering them up, getting past them without stirring up trouble, info on dragons, and protosapients, as well as additional crittter powers. You get a lot for your $30.00."

Running Wild is out!

Sat Sep 26, 2009, 3:39 AM
In this book there are four illustrations by me, and other two I made in collaboration with Shadowrun art director Brent Evans. This is my debut as a Shadowrun artist.

SR ine developer Jason Hardy's entry on Shadowrun4.com:
"Great news people! We have a street date for Running Wild, your guide to everything that’s crittierific! So what’s the date, you ask? It’s - now. Right now. As in, there are copies sitting at lots of FLGSs! So go out and get one! Need a little more info? Well, check out the preview, and get a hint of the vast world of critters, spirits, AIs, and other predators that are waiting to be thrown into your game."

Shadowrun - Seattle 2072

Tue Sep 1, 2009, 1:53 AM
Welcome Home

It’s a screwed up city. Isolated from the rest of the UCAS, it’s haven for criminals-smugglers, syndicates, gangers. Legal criminals, too-megacorporations, governments, politicians.
As beautiful as she is dysfunctional, Seattle is urban sprawl amid rolling hills and forests nestled up to man-made wonders next door to natural and man-made disasters. Whether you’re a native or not, Seattle will draw you in like no other.
You can run for a lifetime and never leave Seattle, but some say you can’t run for a lifetime without entering.

Seattle 2072, the second full-color hardcover as part of our 20th Anniversary of Shadowrun celebration, is available now in PDF, and the print version is also available - along with the PDF + Print Pre-Order combo. We anticipate shipping these books in October.
This 200 page book is the ultimate look at Seattle, presenting the City on the Sound in full-color, like you’ve never seen her before.
